Cool no passing and hazard light switch?

I just traded in my hyosung by 250 for the fz8 but I don't see the passing light switch and the hazard light switch on the left handle controls ? Is this a factory mistake because the manual shows that it has it but my bike doesn't

Looks like thats how all the FZ8's are comeing from the factory, without the hazard lights, kinda strange when the fz1 & fz6 have the hazard switch. Guess Yamaha thought anyone who would be bad *** enough to buy/ride an FZ8, would be way to hardcore for some pu**y crap like hazard lights!! Ha ha (or they were just trying to save a few bucks $)

in the USA is can get you a ticket to flash your high beams on another just to pass. it is labeled as aggressive driving/riding, it = a pricey ticket and in some areas can be TWO points on your license.
may be ok in some parts of england, france, etc, but not in the states.

Personally hazard lights and passing lights are a safety feature, I got my fz8 3 weeks ago, I don't believe flashing a vehicle should be illegal if it was then cars wouldn't have it. I'm in new York and I never heard of getting points in your license for that.

Flashing behind a vehicle for the purpose of passing is ABSOLUTELY illegal in my state anyway, pretty sure that's all U.S. Let a Statie see you do that, you're done for, veeeeery pissed trust me : ) To flash someone at a stop sign or turn to go ahead is ok of course, and probably why we still have them in cars. Hazard lights on a bike are uncommon, but MOST streetbikes I've had had a "get outta the way" flasher,I will miss that. Like the other guy said we are bad*** enough to just split a lane to pass, who needs flashers?

In the Uk here you will get flashed to warn you of speed traps especially from other bikers which is most welcome (not that i ever speed you understand) but that being said i have known someone to be given a ticket by the police for doing this i believe it was put down to obstruction of justice. but thats only one in my whole life of driving, so it wont put me of helping to warn that the police are hiding round the corner.
